Maxvida is a pioneer in the Spanish market for the design, production and distribution of adaptive, yet fashionable clothing and other products specifically designed for people with special needs.

Maxvida’s adaptive clothing not only helps users to be more independent and to carry out their everyday activities more easily, but also makes every carer’s work much easier.

Maxvida’s attractive designs are specifically for people, who have enormous difficulties when dressing and undressing, as well as carrying out their daily routines. We can help with a range of different disabilities, from patients with diverse degrees of dependence to patients with degenerative illnesses, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Arthrosis, Arthritis, Multiple sclerosis (MS), as well as other late-onset neuro-degenerative illnesses.

Since 2004, Maxvida has designed and manufactured a practical yet appealing range of adaptive clothing products. The high standards of quality, functionality, comfort and style – all at reasonable prices – are supported by an excellent customer service. Consumers always have a choice. They can purchase garments straight from the ready-to-wear line or they can opt to customize them according to their individual measurements, tastes or specific requirements.

Purchases can be made in the Maxvida shop in the center of the city of Zaragoza (Spain), or through the online shop, by catalog or directly by telephone. We speak English, and, of course, Spanish.

Maxvida continuously strives to offer innovative solutions to people of all ages with special needs, always aiming to improve the quality of their lives and to obtain their total satisfaction in a creative and respectful way.

The inspiration behind the Maxvida Project is Elena Parrilla, who holds a Diploma in Management Studies and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), both from the University of Westminster, in London, England.

During her long career, Ms Parrilla has worked in both the public and the private sectors. She worked as a Headhunting Consultant for TMP Worldwide, in Madrid, and also collaborated with the National Society for the Development of Design and Innovation (Sociedad Estatal para el Desarrollo del Diseño y la Innovación/DDI). As a result of that Project as a consultant, she realized the need that existed in the marketplace for specific products for people with special needs. And that ishow Maxvida was born!

In 2001, she saw the need for a specific clothing range for people with special needs. After intense research and development, Ms Parrilla launched her company in 2004. Called Maxvida, the name implies the desire to “maximize life” for those with disabilities. Her business began (and continues) in Zaragoza, where she has a shop that is totally adapted for people with disabilities. She also introduced an online shop www.maxvida.com. Ms Parrilla created different designs and different lines of products for people with diverse degrees of dependence, from the elderly and people with physical limitations to those with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to continuous research into new materials and new designs, Maxvida’s innovative approach guarantees that there are always new products and new ideas in the pipeline.

Thanks to more than a decade of research, Elena Parrilla is now recognized in Europe as an expert on design for the disabled and the dependent. She is regularly taking part in events arranged by disability organizations, universities and other institutions. As well as showing her work, she contributes her own expertise. Particularly successful are the events that she organises, such as adapted fashion shows. These aim to normalize the wearing of adaptive clothing. Elena also shows off her designs at conventional fashion catwalks, in order to integrate Maxvida as another attractive fashion brand.
