The goal is to get 800,000 messages of support, as many as sick in Spain.
Last Monday, KNOW Alzheimer launched the 'Put Your Heart for the Alzheimer's' campaign, encouraging messages of support for sick people, relatives and caregivers who live with the tremendous disease. The most emotional messages, received until the 21st, World Alzheimer's Day, will then be compiled into a book.
The objective of the campaign is to receive a message for each of the 800,000 patients suffering from this disease in Spain.
Participants should send their messages to the website 'www.pontucorazonporelalzheimer.com' and once this campaign is completed KNOW Alzheimer will give you a digital copy of the book.
Another way to participate is to leave a message in one of the 5,000 pharmacies adhering to the campaign and will receive a lilac ribbon, symbol of solidarity with the sick of alzhemer. The campaign will be closely monitored on KNOW Alzheimer's social networks on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
This initiative has the collaboration of the Spanish Confederation of Associations of Relatives of People with Alzheimer's and other Dementias (Ceafa), the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN), the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SEGG), the Spanish Society of Physicians Of Primary Care (Semergen), the Spanish Society of Community Pharmacy (Sefac) and pharmaceutical laboratory STADA.
